Turkey Best Practice Tour learnings
Earlier in 2018, members of the KZNCTC and CCTC participated in a Best Practice Tour to Turkey. The purpose of the tour was two-fold:
- To deepen our understanding of lean manufacturing principles and quick response applied in leading CTFL firms internationally
- To explore the application of robotics, artificial intelligence and digitised analytics in a clothing factory (Industry 4.0 applied).
Participants of this tour visited 3 facilities, namely ATT Concorde (fabric manufacturer), Sun Teksil (vertical clothing manufacturer) and Hugo Boss (advanced clothing manufacturer). In the video below, Kyle Ballard (KZNCTC facilitator) gives an overview of the key learnings from the Turkey tour.
